Rinse, Repeat.


Everywhere we look we’re bombarded with ads claiming to be the creme de la creme in [insert superhuman strong/sexy person] with a quick how-to guide to reach the summit!


In fact, it’s usually so “easy” all we need to do is click a link, drink the smoothie, and follow the directions.


Monkey See Monkey Do.


I’ll admit, I’ve clicked those links. I’ve done my research.


Here’s the not-so-secret secret to reaching those goals you keep scrolling through your Instagram feed to find.


Now seriously, pay attention. I’ve put in my 10,000 hours. I’ve walked the walk on the field, in the classroom, and passed the board exams. I’ve paid the hundreds of thousands of dollars that America has duped us into for higher-level education (maybe a different rant for a different day!).


So what is the PERFECT program? What is the program worth showing up for, doing the work for, buying in for, and rinsing/repeating indefinitely?!


The perfect program is the one that is:

1. Consistent.

2. Sustainable.


That’s it.


I know the strength gurus and yoga masters may raise their voice at me. Some may make it more confusing, some may make it a little too simple. This post isn’t to belittle any profession, program, or method.


The only way a program works is if you DO the program. Not when you feel great, have an extra hour, or get off work a little early. It’s finding someone that speaks to you, has your goals in mind, and sparks you to show up for that program day-in, day-out, week after week, month after month.


Unfortunately, this is the only way.


When we have athletes in the clinic it's easy. We know their sport. We integrate their prehab/rehab/maintenance towards the goals and stresses of their sport. We treat everyone else coming into our doors in this way. Any way that we can integrate OUR program into THEIR life to keep them doing the things they WANT to do is the only way to make our program consistent and sustainable.
